The Labour Party remains united and strong ahead of the 2027 General Elections, despite attacks from national enemies. 

Under the leadership of Chairman Julius Abure, the party boasts the best women in politics in Nigeria.

In a Media chat with newsmen in Abuja over the weekend, according to Dr. Barry Avotu Johnson 1st, National Deputy Youth Leader South LP and AMAC Chairmanship Aspirant, Abure's position as national chairman is solidified by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Labour Party constitution, backed by the Electoral Act 2022. 

This ensures his tenure until 2028, when the next national convention is scheduled.

"The law is clear; there's no vacancy in the LP national leadership till 2028," Dr. Johnson emphasized. 

"INEC, Peter Obi, Governor Alex Otti, NLC, or any group must wait until 2028 for any changes in the NEC and NWC of the LP."


With Abure at the helm, the Labour Party is poised to excel in free, fair, and credible elections, enjoying widespread support from Nigerians, particularly women.

As Dr. Johnson noted, "LP under Barrister Julius Abure remains the party to beat in any election."

Abure's leadership has been crucial in providing the required direction for the Labour Party, as observed in the run-up to the February 2023 presidential election.
