The presentation event started at about 1pm Nigerian time at the national head quarters of the labour party in Abuja with a speech by DR BARRY AVOTU JOHNSON 1ST, COUNTRY DIRECTOR OF VOTES MUST COUNT INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVE VMCII ON THE OCCASION OF THE 2024 EDO STATE GOVERNORSHIP EXPRESSION OF INTEREST AND NOMINATION FORM PRESENTATION UNDER THE LABOUR PARTY.

Distinguished ladies of gentlemen of the press, we welcome you all to this world press briefing to officially present a personality as the nominated aspirant in sponsorship by the VMCII in partnership with the great OBIDIENT MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE. 

This media briefing is an endowment that is practically crafted to nominate a special personality to run for the office of Governor in the forthcoming governorship elections in Edo state. 

But before we move to the issues of our presentation today, we like to also ask the federal Government to find a way to resolve the poverty and hunger in the nation because the people are hungry, and when the people are hungry it can inject a serious influence of citizenry display of the characteristics of civil unrest that can lead to public disobedience thereby providing a chance to witness a possible downpour of public property destructions which the government doesn't wouldn't have the capacity to handle.

Senator bola tinubu sir, you must stop playing politics with the lives of Nigerians because when this goes beyond this mark of hunger protesters across Nigeria the next point is for the people to open up a path to enter the streets without any control.

And when there is no control from.government, the people will take laws into their hands.

Senator bola tinubu, its time for you to wake up to the realities of providing quality leadership and good governance to Nigerians or do yourself that good to find a very urgent solution to the issues of terrorism, kidnapping, political blackmail, impunity in political appointments and lack of concerns for citizens of Nigeria. 

bola tinubu sir, your number one duty as leader of a government is to protect the lives and property of Nigerians and since 2023 when you were forced on Nigerians you have not kept that constitutional duty to the people.

Asiwaju bola Ahmed tinubu, Nigerians and the world are asking you to wake up from your slumber and incorporate better technocrats with some reasonable mentality of people oriented prospects to help you find very urgent ways to reframe from this economic breakdown and political mishandle.

As a people in politics, and interested in the development of Nigeria, we hereby ask the people of Edo state and Nigeria at large to join us as a group of well-meaning Nigerians to present this VMCII and OBIDIENT MOVEMENT PURCHASED EXPRESSION OF INTEREST AND NOMINATION FORM UNDER THE GREAT LABOUR PARTY.

A medical doctor by profession, a great wife of one man and a mother of children and indeed a sister, aunty, in-law, friend and partner in the obidient movement worldwide.

For us at the vmcii and the obidient movement worldwide, for the primary elections this is our aspirant and we ask all obidients to join us to give her the best support as the best aspirant with the intelligence and pragmatic values of leadership needed in the transformation of Edo state. 

Gentlemen and ladies, this is presentable female personality that we have discovered to be a solid weapon for national development.

Let's give a woman the opportunity to become the Governor of Edo state  so we can witness a new format of governance that is designed to provide basic amenities for the people which must cut across education, employment, security of lives and property coupled with creating good roads, cottage hospitals and social development in all it's ramifications.

Lastly we say congratulations to the great labour party under the able leadership of barrister Julius Abure and his national excos who made this possible. 

We in the obidients movement worldwide have decided to partner with the labour party in presenting and supporting the best aspirants in every elections across bounds.

This is another way we have created to making sure that the Nigerian woman has a strong level of participation in the politics of Nigeria. 

We must see the Nigerian woman providing service in politics as well as we have witnessed in the economic sector over the years.

Dear leadership of Obidient Movement Worldwide and VMCII, 

 I am very humbled that I have been found worthy by your team to be your chosen Governorship Aspirant for the LP in the Edo State 2024 elections. Your planning  was apt and people engagement second to none. Buying me the form is first of it's  kind. 

However, the use of the sacred blade or Eben is reserved solely for our revered Majesty the Oba of Benin and titled Chiefs or Enogies of the land. 

Being a Princess  myself, if I had known about the use of Eben by the dance troupe  prior to my arrival, I would have strongly advised against it.  

Nonetheless, we learn everyday and I am sure my dear Obidients worldwide and our beloved Labour Party are now better informed by myself and will not allow this cultural glitch ever again.

I once again thank the Obidients Worldwide, VMCII and all parties present for the confidence reposed in me. To pick these forms for me and organise this grand presentation. The NWC of our Labour Party is exemplary in their support of the female gender in  politics.
